Capstone Scope Check

Seven pass/fail checks that tell you whether your charter is ready to freeze. A 7/7 is the prerequisite for Lesson 10.2.

Pass threshold: 7 of 7. Anything less, and you revise the charter and re-run. A "partial" result counts as a fail for freezing purposes — partials are where most charters fail silently.

Your charter — the fields that matter

1. One-sentence purpose Copy Charter §1 verbatim. Must be a single sentence, present tense, describing what the system does — not what you'll learn. 2. Audience — who consumes the output? Charter §2. Must name yourself as the sole consumer and name at least one public-output write the system will NOT do. 3. Three components — name, shape, job, tool Charter §3. At least three components. At least three different shapes across them.

4. Data class per component, highest that touches the component Charter §4. One line per component, format: C1: personal/cloud. Classes: public, personal, sensitive. Routing: cloud, local. 5. Out of scope — items the capstone will NOT do Charter §5. At least three items. At least one must be a real public-output or "tempting feature" you rejected — not filler.
